Are Vegan Diets Healthy?

It's a popular belief that vegan diets result in malnutrition and thus many people avoid vegan food. Practically thinking many of us suffer from vitamin or mineral deficiency even after eating meat and dairy. So why is that many of us think that vegan diets cannot fulfil daily nutrition?



The reason lies behind a myth that we can obtain proteins, calcium and other vital nutrition from animal and animal products only. So let's take a close look at vegan food which fulfils your daily nutrition.

  • Fruits- All fruits are high in vitamins, minerals and fibers which are super essential for your body. Also, fruits do not contain any fats and give your body essential energy throughout the day.



  • Roots- Roots are high in starch and minerals. Also, roots contain good carbohydrates and dietary fibers which helps in building immune systems and increase digestion.



  • Leafy vegetables- are the topmost source of fibres and potassium. They are also high in antioxidants which is very important to sustain good health.



  • Vegetables- We do not have to tell separately how important vegetables are for human nutrition. Every vegetable is a good source of vitamins which are necessary for a healthy body and especially for eyes, skin, heart and brain. Vegetables contain no trans fats or cholesterol.


  • Vegan milk- vegan milk such as almond milk and cashew milk are rich in Vit A, E, D and Vit K.



  • Vegan oils- Vegan oils are cold pressed oil and are not obtained from animals and are not chemically processed. Vega oils such as avocado, coconut, peanut, almond, sesame etc are rich in good cholesterol and fats. These are necessary for bone functioning and strengthening.




  • Soya products- Soya beans have the highest amount of proteins, even higher than meat and dairy. Thus any product from soya easily nourishes your body with necessary proteins.


  • Vegan cheese- Vegan cheese is made from the plant-based and contains less fat and cholesterol and more calcium. 


  • Vegan breads-These nutritional loaves of bread can easily be adjusted in your meal or snacks time. It has a good amount of probiotics and fibers for your tummy.



  • Vegan desserts- vegan desserts are made from non-dairy products and contain fewer fats and sugar. In contrary, it contains more fresh ingredients such as fruits and flowers.



It is proven that vegan food is the healthiest if you plan your meals correctly.
